Now that everything is safely at the framers, the next task over the weekend will be to go through the copies I have printed out from scans of all my 31 artworks and decide on the final title names and prices.
Along with the medium used and dimensions of images, all this information needs to be sent to Gallery Red next week so they can compile all the participating artists’ details for printing the exhibition catalogue in time for the opening night on Friday September 5.
Coming up with a price tag for each piece of work is the worst part for me of being involved in an exhibition. It’s always hard to come up with a reasonable price that might help with selling some of the works during the exhibition running time but also as much as possible covers the cost of my time, materials, framing and the gallery commission. Not easy, but you just have to be realistic and hope you break even in the end!
